Green Beans, Squash Recalled Over Listeria Concerns
Earlier this week, Southern Specialties Inc. issued a recall of butternut squash and green beans over concerns the vegetables may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. This bacteria may result in serious infections in young children, pregnant women, elderly people, and anyone with weakened immune systems. Even if you're a healthy individual, you may experience headaches, high fevers, nausea, and other unpleasant symptoms if you contract the Listeria monocytogenes bacteria.
