Paris Brothers, Inc. Issues Voluntary Cheese Recall Amid Listeria Fears

If you’re a fan of cheese, listen up! Earlier this week, a recall was issued for eight different cheese products over concerns they may be contaminated with listeria. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the products were distributed to grocery stores throughout nine states, including Arizona, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and South Dakota.

The company behind the recall is Paris Brothers, Inc. Included in the recall are popular “cheddar, brie, and pepper jack products that were produced in early May.” The affected products include:
  • Cottonwood River Cheddar

  • D'amir Brie Double Crème French Brie

  • Milton Prairie Breeze White Cheddar Style

  • Milton Tomato Garlic Cheddar

  • Paris Brothers Mild Cheddar

  • Paris Brothers Colby Jack

  • Paris Brothers Pepper Jack

  • Cervasi Pecorino Romano

The potential contamination was discovered when the FDA conducted routine sampling of the products. Fortunately, no illnesses have been reported. For now, consumers who have the recalled products in their homes should either return them for a refund or toss them in the trash. If you have additional questions or concerns about the recall, contact the company at 816-455-4188.
