A recall was recently issued by Top Taste Food Warehouse in Brooklyn, New York for certain pork and chicken dumpling products. According to the recall notice, the affected products were “produced, packed, and distributed without the benefit of USDA inspection.” Additionally, the USDA mark of inspection was used without proper authorization, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).The recall includes the company's frozen pork with vegetable dumpling and the chicken with vegetable dumpling items produced between July 30, 2018, and July 31, 2019. The specific products affected by the recall include:

• 136-oz (8.5-lbs) plastic bags containing approximately 100 pieces of “TOP TASTE PORK & VEGETABLE DUMPLINGS.”

• 136-oz (8.5-lbs) plastic bags containing approximately 100 pieces of “TOP TASTE CHICKEN & VEGETABLE DUMPLINGS.”

Additionally, the recalled products all have the establishment number EST. 19856 printed inside the USDA mark of inspection and were shipped throughout the state of New York.The issue itself was discovered back on July 31, 2019, when “FSIS was conducting surveillance activity.” Fortunately, there have been no reports of illness or other adverse reactions linked to the consumption of the products. For now, consumers who have the recalled products should either throw them away or return them for a refund.
