Winter Safety for Motorists
Winter has come, and so have the slippery roads, congested streets and icy pavements. Winter safety is very important, especially with the exceptionally cold temperatures some areas are experiencing.Americans are gearing up for winter, which officially started on December 21st, and that’s a great thing if you are cocooned inside a warm home. But for motorists, it can be a nightmare. The heavy road traffic, the unpredictable weather, and the unforgiving cold temperatures can be quite a challenge for drivers. The road conditions during this supposedly festive season could be hazardous. You can’t control the season, but you can be prepared for it.The roads, which are otherwise safe in other months of the year, could pose as death traps this season. Especially during heavy snow, drivers will have poor visibility of the roads. And, with how icy the roads are, you could lose control of the wheel. Even if only one of the cars on the road loses control, it could bring the whole street down. Even innocent pedestrians can be involved. Collisions are not unusual during this time.
